Recently a Greenwich-born attacking midfielder Eze Eberechi moved to the Premier League via signing a 5-year deal with Crystal Palace. The fee is £19.5 million, 16 of which were paid upfront.
The player was transferred from the Queen Park Rangers to another English team the Crystal Palace. CP`s chairman Steve Parish and head coach Roy Hodgson both gave some comments regarding the transfer of the Nigerian.
“We are assembling the pieces of our jigsaw” – explains Hodgson.
The head coach sees Eze as an ambitious and dedicated player with huge potential. The recent signing of Nathan Ferguson along with singing a 22-year old Eberechi contributes to the development of the squad in the long run.
Parish comments were as follows: “Eberechi is a player whose development we have followed closely. We are delighted he has chosen to sign with us over the other clubs that were interested and we feel that this is the right club for him to continue his development.” He added that Eze is the next step to solidify the Crystal Palaces position in the Premier League, which is mainly done by signing up promising youngsters. Ederechi himself said, that the club is full of great power and he’s looking forward to playing side by side with them which will help him evolve. Well, we cannot disagree with that. Eze is an elite dribbler, and apart from that, he’s able to create space making himself effective both in terms of scoring and assisting his teammates by his precise passes and space creating skills.
Conclusion
By signing up a talented Nigerian, Crystal Palace is one step ahead fighting it out to the top of the Premier League. The only issue is how Eze Eberechi will be able to get along with other players but anyways it’s just a matter of time.
What do you think, will Eze help the team? And how?
