It`s pleasant to see your martial arts idol winning the clash inside the octagon. And it`s twice as pleasant to see him on a big screen. MMA fighters tend to be public-friendly, and they enjoy appearing in the eye-catching blockbusters, the same as we enjoy seeing them crushing their enemies with genuine mastery both inside the octagon and on the big screen.

Georges St-Pierre

A legendary UFC two-times welterweight champion, St-Pierre has appeared on the screen in several middle-known movies. He is a fan of movies himself, especially the ones about superheroes. His dream to play along with the Avengers came true in 2014, when he played the role of deadly mercenary Jan Batrok in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. His fight with Cap was one huge delight. No doubles or special effects can replace a veritable might of an MMA fighter, who could actually become a true slaughter machine if he decided to.

Ronda Rousey

Rousey was the first woman UFC champion ever. She`s known both for her fighting skills and her beauty. This is a perfect mix for movies, isn`t it? Ronda has appeared in The Expendables 3 released in 2014 and Furious Seven (2015). Both roles were the perfect illustration of her fighting talents, but she also managed to go beyond the comfort zone and appeared in the comedy called Entourage released in 2015.

Oleg Taktarov

Not many of you may recall the admirable times of the UFC when it was nothing more than a good old bloodbath. These were times when the blood splatter spilled on the spectators in the first rows. Back then, “The Russian Bear” was competing in several organizations including the UFC and Pride Fighting Championships. The world sambo champion gave us the spectacular fights during the golden age of the MMA. At the beginning of the 21^st century, Taktarov took his first steps on the big screens. Over the last 20 years, he has starred in 33 movies, the best known of them are Predators (2010), Bad Boys II (2006), Miami Vice (2006), and National Treasure (2004). His last role was in a movie called Den of Thieves released in 2018.

Seeing an MMA fighter in a movie is a true eye pleasure. No one knows about fighting better than those who do it for a living. The most wondering thing is that they make us believe that superheroes are possible not only in the movies. Dedication and hard work can make any person a living legend as those people on the list did.
