Experts insisted that the 31-year-old Durant is unlikely to be able to return from his injury in the current season, because he had to spend up to 10 months in the hospital after surgery.

But he is likely to be on roll since the season has been prolonged due to coronavirus pandemic and could be postponed even longer. That means Durant would be ready to get back to the workout routine and play for his team.

According to insider Ian Eagle, Kevin is already healthy enough to start playing for Brooklyn in April.

In addition, Durant could change his position, says ex-head coach Kenny Atkinson.

“No problem. If the big guy is his opponent, then maybe Kevin will not play the center position, but if the coach tells him to play there, then the rival will need to leave the lane and defend against him. Everyone understands this,” quotes the New York Post.

It is worth remembering that Durant spent the last NBA season as part of the Golden State Warriors, having played 78 matches, gaining an average of 26 points.

He got into professional basketball in 2007, becoming a Seattle Supersonics player. But before that, the guy was actively involved in basketball and had already become a noticeable player, wanting to be seen by several colleges as a part of their team at once. His workout used to last up to 9 hours during the summer holidays. In 2007, when he was in the NBA already, his efforts were noted by the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. In the 2013/2014 season, he received the MVP title.
