The NFL 2020 schedule has been released, and we are in anticipation of intense matchups and dramatic collisions. It all starts on September 10, which is when the following individual matchups will take place.
Joe Burrow (Bengals) vs. Justin Herbert (Chargers)
The two early Draft picks will clash in an exciting challenge for the title of a franchise savior. Both of these quarterbacks show a lot of promise. Both the Bengals’ and Chargers’ fans are already talking about the youngsters becoming legendary players.
George Kittle (49ers) vs. Isaiah Simmons (Cardinals)
Arizona sure enjoyed having George Kittle last season. Not only did he prove to be one of the best catchers in the NFL, but his ability to run through the defense and assist in game-winning points was invaluable for the 49ers.
To battle that force of nature, Cardinals have picked Isaiah Simmons as a linebacker to strengthen their defensive core and add exceptional thwarting ability to the mix. The matchup promises to be full of imaginative plays and dramatic situations.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Chiefs) vs. Patrick Queen (Ravens)
In another offense-defense battle, the two former LSU teammates will face-off against each other in an attempt to show off their prowess. Patrick Queen will be attempting to diffuse the Edwards-Helaire’s danger, and Clyde will do his best to live up to his coach’s comparison to the Eagle’s star Brian Westbrook.
Jeff Okudah (Lions) vs. Michael Thomas (Saints)
The Lions have scored one of the best Draft picks by choosing Jeff Okudah, at least in terms of cover positions. His proportions are impressive: 6-foot-1 and over 200 pounds seem like a perfect physicality.
But the Saints are counting on the fan-favorite Michael Thomas to show the rookie how things are done in the big boy world. As the 2019 NFL Offensive Player of the Year, he will be a tough challenge for Jeff Okudah. The latter might not have enough tricks up his sleeve to counter Michael – but we won’t mind a surprise.
Conclusion
The above-mentioned matchups will occur in the first four weeks of the season. This shows just how packed it is with exciting games and clashes of titans.
