The list below includes NFL players of all dimensions that are hated by the fans for several reasons. Scandals, big mouth, dirty tricks – a huge variety of human sins can be a cause of disrespect for fans from all around the globe. NFL players with a poor reputation bellow.
The savagery of Jim McMahon
The Chicago Bears quarterback was considered badass during his peak in 1985. McMahon`s controversial actions made some people hate him while some people were just in love with his crazy stunts. McMahon wasn`t ashamed to have a few beers during the press conference, he fought respected TV commentator Mike Ditka, he used to wear headbands even when they were prohibited by NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle. Not to mention Jim`s habit to stand in front of the cameras to interrupt them from filming the game. He was a true heathen.
Chuck “Scud” Cecil
You wouldn`t enjoy playing with this guy. He is known as the hardiest defender to ever play in the NFL. You only have to watch a few of his defensive backs and realize that his nickname “Scud” was the real deal. Cecil is now a defensive analyst for his alma mater, the University of Arizona in Tucson. The big question is whether he teaches the players to play as rough as he did. If so, we can only feel sorry for their opponents.
Altercation master Bill Romanowski
This NFL player had a tremendous 16-year career, yet he`s been in more altercations than any other player. These include hitting his opponent Larry Centers in the head, then hitting his teammate Marcus William, plus spitting in J.J. Stoke`s face, and being implicated in the scandal of using prohibited compounds.
Dirty play by Ndamukong Suh
This player hasn`t finished his career, but he has already created an image of being the dirtiest player in the NFL. His savage stunts included kicking Evan Smith, stepping on Aaron Rodger`s leg, and the hardest slam of Jake Delhomme. Suh has paid a huge amount of fines for all of his dirty moves. He is now a defensive end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he still doesn`t show any signs of changing his dirty gaming style.
Conclusion
A fan fact is even though the players can be blamed for their crazy infield behavior, they`re still noticed and drawing the attention of the fans. You might like them or not, the players with a bad repute do create a great portion of the charm of NFL games.
