Having recovered from a sprain, Gordon Hayward has finally returned to playing basketball. Hayward got an injury in Game 1 of the Celtics’ first-round series with the Sixers. Because of this, he was out of the game for more than a month. It was difficult for the Boston Celtics to play without Hayward, as he is one of the best players on the team.

Hayward’s comments

Speaking about Hayward’s impressions of his return, he said it was not easy for him to spend so much time not playing basketball. He also mentioned that it was like a miracle for him to come back. Understandably, Hayward persuaded both his team and fans that he would do everything possible to help his team to win.

Immediately after his first match after this long break, he was extremely tired, and his ankle hurt. Still, he was happy and underlined he was fully ready to compete. The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat, so Hayward was proud of his team.

Some details

It was not an easy decision for Hayward to come back. Nevertheless, this choice was made by him only after warmups. He said he felt pretty good, so there were no reasons to wait.

First, there was an agreement about minutes restriction, but it was violated. In any case, the game was worth the candle, as it helped the Boston Celtics to win. Hayward’s result of that game was 6 points, four assists, and five rebounds. The entire team was super optimistic about his return.

Conclusion

Certainly, it’s great that Gordon Hayward is all well again. We’ll also have a chance to enjoy his performance in Game 4 next week.
