As we know, Todd Reirden (former coach of the Washington Capitals) was fired about a month ago, so Peter Laviolette will be the new coach of this team. The Capitals didn’t show great performances last season, so there is hope the new coach will help the team to reach new heights.

Laviolette has an impressive career, as he’s been working as a coach since 2001. He has worked with such well-known teams, like the Islanders, the Nashville Predators, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Philadelphia Flyers. With the Carolina Hurricanes, Laviolette won the Stanley Cup. Understandably, he had both ups and downs, but there were more successes than failures.
