Such a forecast is given to the team only on the condition that Kucherov will be able to recover from a terrible blow to the face received in the last game. Tampa has a 41% chance of winning the Stanley Cup if last season’s MVP returns to the game.

Won but Lost

Zdeno Haru from Boston hit Kucherov in the face with a stick. Nikita fell on the ice and left the arena with the help of doctors, holding his face. Zdeno, in turn, spent four minutes in the penalty box.

During that time, Tampa not only failed to take any action but in general did not attempt to score in Yaroslav Galyk`s goalposts. Number 86 returned to the ice during the second period. However, he did not appear at all in the third.

Nevertheless, all this did not prevent the team of Jon Cooper in the second overtime to put the squeeze on the opponents and win the series with a total score of 4-1, thanks to the powerful throw of Victor Hedman.

Who Will Win?

As it became known, Nikita Kucherov took part in the team’s training on Saturday, which gives hope that he will take part in the playoffs.

Tampa’s Stanley Cup chances have skyrocketed after reaching the Eastern Conference Playoff Finals. According to the Athletic, Tampa has a 41% chance of winning the Stanley Cup, and a 66% chance of reaching the final. These figures are given, taking into account Steven Stamkos, who has not yet played in the playoffs. Besides, the forecast presupposes that Nikita Kucherov will take part in the matches.

The absence of the Russian will significantly reduce these indicators. The second most likely contender for the Cup is Vegas (28% probability of reaching the final). Dallas is in third place (11%).
