The forward of the Milwaukee Bucks scored 36 points, 18 rebounds, and made 8 assists in the NBA regular season against the Houston Rockets. Thus, Giannis Antetokounmpo breaks Shaquille O’Neal’s record and conquers the achievement of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

New Heights

Antetokounmpo became the second basketball player in the league in the last 50 years to play 15 games in a season, averaging at least 30 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists. Previously, only the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did this. Besides, Giannis surpassed Shaquille O’Neal’s record in the game against the Rockets. Adetokunbo played his 19th game of the season, in which he scored no less than 32 points and 16 rebounds. That is the best record since the introduction of the three-point line in the NBA. O’Neill, in turn, scored such statistics 18 times.

Antetokounmpo is considered one of the top contenders for the award, along with the forward of the Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James this year.

Giannis Has Talent!

Surprisingly, the basketball player has not only excellent basketball skills but also, as it turned out, musical talents. This spring, he entertained his girlfriend and loved ones by playing the guitar, and they all downloaded it on Instagram. For example, his girlfriend shared a video with subscribers where the guy very clumsily tried to reproduce the legendary composition Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. “Ladies and gentlemen, this is why we all need basketball,” she commented.

Apparently, Giannis was trying to take the first chords. However, the guy did not succeed very well. His relatives were satisfied, though. By the way, even the brother of Giannis boasted about the success of the famous relative.

Subscribers immediately appreciated Giannis’ talent. If they had known then that he would soon break Shaquille O’Neal’s record, they would have praised him even more.
