Don`t mess with the Ruthless

This genuine feeling is not common among MMA fighters. Only a few of them have this inner core which makes a real difference between the champion and just an ordinary fighter. The second fight of the former welterweight champion “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler against “Red King” Rory McDonald was truly a performance of two fighters with incredible fighting spirits. Lawler has always been a locomotive destroying any opponent in his way. His rendezvous with McDonald has shown what happens if one irresistible force meets another irresistible force. Any comments about this fight are superfluous. It was a 4-round massacre in which both fighters showed their best and despite Lawler won it with the TKO at the beginning of the 5th round, Rory McDonald was close to finishing this fight a few times. Their clash is still one of the most spectacular and beloved fights in MMA history.

Eagle`s attitude

Khabib Nurmagomedov has become an example of how dedication can lead to success. People have different opinions regarding him and his fighting style but one fact is undisputed; Khabib has one of the best grappling skills which he polished for decades in everyday training.  He has a record of 28-0 in the MMA and it says all about his professional attitude which helped him to become one of the best lightweights in the UFC. Eagle`s previous 2 fights were amazing and made all the haters silent. McGregor lasted 4 rounds against him, and Dustin Poirier was chocked in the 3rd. The Eagle makes them go through a round of true suffering and eventually shows that trash talk can do nothing about decency and a winning attitude.  Khabib is now at his peak and who knows how many more wins he can obtain.

Beast can`t survive a good old jiu-jitsu

This secret of an early win is much harder to obtain if you don`t have it from the start. Legendary heavyweight Frank Mir and his Brazilian jiu-jitsu can easily illustrate our point. Mir`s fight against Beast Brock Lesnar seemed like a mismatch at first. Lesnar was predicted to win both on feet and on the ground. Mir had only his black belt in jiu-jitsu. The bloody ramble didn`t happen. Mir used the strategy and caught Lesnar with a masterful kneebar. The crowd cried louder than ever. The Beast stands up in confusion. How can one move to win the clash? For the tactical-minded fighter, it`s everything needed to win.

Conclusion

As you could see in the examples above, there are certain things that can`t be trained. And these are things making a difference between the fighters in the MMA. Greatest of them, apart from training, have special secrets that help them win even if it seems impossible at first. This is what people call natural talent but it`s impossible to use without forethought and dedication.
